About the Founder
Debbie Boehlen is owner and founder of Heal Yourself Naturally and of the Canadian Centre of Indian Head Massage. She began her journey toward better health in 1992 and has been continuously learning new methods and techniques to improve her health and well being, and that of others, on all levels: mental, spiritual, physical and emotional. The courses and therapies Debbie offers contribute toward natural health, relaxation and a more balanced state of being.
Ms Boehlen completed her original Indian Head Massage (Champissage) Training in 2002 through the London Centre of Indian Champissage International (LCICI) and became a certified practitioner. In 2003 she completed her instructor training through the same school and started teaching at that time. In 2008 She developed her own IHM course now being taught. She did her original Face Massage training in 2004 through the LCICI to become a practitioner and in 2009 she created the Rejuvenating Face Massage course and teaches this modality as well.
Ms Boehlen is a Reiki Master and is certified in multiple energy healing modalities including Axiatonal alignment, Lahochi, and several Reiki variations including Usui, Karuna, Elemental, Celtic, and Karmic Reiki. She is a certified practitioner of Chair Massage, Foot and Hand Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, and Rejuvenating Face Massage. Ms Boehlen also offers IonCleanse Detoxifying Foot Baths.
Debbie travels throughout Canada to teach Indian Head Massage, Rejuvenating Face Massage, and Axiatonal Alignment.
Laura Holmes did her original Indian Head Massage Training in 2008 with Debbie Boehlen, Founder and Owner of The Canadian Centre of Indian Head Massage to become a Certified Practitioner. In 2009 she did her teacher training and has become the first Certified Instructor with the school and is now offering the Indian Head Massage course in its entirety, as well as other healing modalities. Laura also has a practice, which offers treatment in Reiki, Aromatherapy Massage, and Indian Head Massage where clients are encouraged to relax, unwind and re-energize. www.essencebodytherapy.com
Certified Instructor- Marlene Thorlakson
Marlene Thorlakson began her journey toward better health in 2000 when she became certified as a Wholistic Practitioner in Edmonton, She has pursued her studies since that time with several healing modalities. She became certified in Indian Head Massage in 2005 through the LCICI, and continued her training with the CCIHM to become a certified instructor which she became in 2010. Marlene studied Rejuvenating Face Massage through the CCIHM in 2010 and has become certified instructor in this modality as well. Marlene travels throughout Alberta teaching the Indian Head Massage and Rejuvenating Face Massage courses. She has a practice which offers treatments in Indian Head Massage, Rejuvenating Face Massage, Reflexology and Reiki where she works with her clients as a whole – spiritually, mentally and emotionally. wholisticservicesbymarlene.webs.com
Certified Instructor – Dana Pharant
Dana is a passionate individual with in-depth hands-on experience, strong work ethic and a gift for teaching. She has been in the healing profession since 1992 starting out as an RMT. Her gift for teaching started while in still college and has been a part of her career ever since. She launched into the teaching realm full time in 2007 although she still maintains a small clinical practice. Dana is also the founder of Whole Body Healing – Supplies & Training and teaches a number of other modalities including Thai Hot Stem Massage and Hot Stone Certification workshops.
