The Directory of Practitioners - Be part of it
For those of you who have attended either the Indian Head Massage course or the Rejuvenating Face Massage course you are eligible to be part of the directory of practitioners. This directory is located on our website and if you are a practitioner you may want to consider being part of this directory. Our website is now top ranked on the first page doing any search for Indian Head Massage or Champissage which means people looking for Indian Head Massage will find you there if they are looking for a practitioner. The cost is a one time fee of $60.00 plus GST and that is it. The only other time there would be an extra cost to you would be if there are changes to be made to your listing. As far as advertising dollars go this is the cheapest advertising you will ever have! If you would like further information about being listed on the directory please visit our website at www.indianheadmassagecanada.com and go to the directory page you want to be listed on, you will see at the top of that page a like that will take you to the information page to be listed.. Ontario and BC practitioners get listed prior to the introduction to the new HST on July 1st and save yourself the extra tax dollars!
HST coming to Ontario and BC - what does that mean for you with regards to the Canadian Centre of Indian Head Massage
As some, if not all, of you know by now both the provinces of Ontario and BC will start charging HST as of July 1st, 2010. This will fortunately only affect the residents of these two provinces. Those of you from non-HST provinces will continue to pay the GST only regardless of where you attend the course. This is also true of the certification fee, purchase of IHM oil and the directory of practitioners.
Other stuff
Great Massage Table Info: A couple of students have recently told me about a great deal on a massage table. Go here to find out more: http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/Healthline-CA__W0QQ_armrsZ1. They were happy with the quality and the price of the $199.00 table.
Another place you can purchase a quality massage table at a great price is at Whole Body Healing - Therapy & Supplies. http://www.wholebodyhealing.com. They are found in two locations in Ontario.
The Story of Stuff
Here a link to a really cool site called "The story of stuff" http://www.storyofstuff.com/. Although I have sent this out before I just love this site and there are new "stories" on there and coming soon. If you have been wondering why stuff is so cheap to buy now, take a look...
Advice from Snopes
By now, most people are familiar with www.snopes.com for determining whether information received via e-mail is true or false. It is an excellent sites. Below is their advice.
Advice from Snopes.Com
1) Any time you see an e-mail that says forward this on to '10' of your friends, sign this petition, or you'll get bad luck, good luck, or whatever, it almost always has an e-mail tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and e-mails of those forwarded addresses. The host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of 'active' e-mail addresses to use in SPAM e-mails or sell to other spammers. 2) Almost all e-mails that ask you to add your name and forward on to others are similar to that mass letter years ago that asked people to send business cards to the little kid in Florida who wanted to break the Guinness Book of Records for the most cards. All it was, and all any of this type of e-mail is, is a way to get names and 'cookie' tracking information for telemarketers and spammers - - to validate active e-mail accounts for their own profitable purposes.
You can do your friends and family members a GREAT favor by sending this information to them; you will be providing a service to your friends, and will be rewarded by not getting thousands of spam e-mails in the future.
If you have been sending out (FORWARDING) the above kinds of e-mail, now you know why you get so much SPAM!
Do yourself a favor and STOP adding your name(S) to those types of listings, regardless of how inviting they might sound.
You may think you are supporting a great cause, but you are NOT. Instead, you will be getting tons of junk mail later. Plus, we are helping the spammers get rich. Let's not make it easy for them. Also: e-mail petitions are NOT acceptable to Congress or any other organization. To be acceptable, petitions must have a signed signature and full address of the person signing the petition.
ALSO: PLEASE REMOVE ALL EMAIL ADDRESSES STILL ATTACHED BEFORE YOU FORWARD A MESSAGE. IT IS PUTTING EVERYONE'S NAME OUT THERE.
Most people use a nickname for their email just so their real name is not out there on the Internet. BUT........if YOU have listed their real name in your contacts, it will also show up next to their email address. Be a friend and delete all the names before forwarding. Even better, send everything by BCC. That's BLIND CARBON COPY. That way NO names will ever show up on an email.
Please feel free to pass this information onto anyone you think may be interested.
Have a wonderful spring! Debbie Boehlen
If you are receiving this in double, please let me know which email to delete
